The last picture on this post is typically what I’m looking at on the chart plotter while I’m cruising. in addition to that, I also have my iPad with a chart plotter app and hooked up to it’s own GPS and mounted to the dash as redundancy and I also have a large paper charts handy if I need it. Additional info is available on both chart plotters such as weather, current, wave heights and tide info. Also available on both plotters is marinas with 1 to 5 star ratings with services available at each marina such as free wifi, electrical hookup, fuel prices and repair services that are available along with numerous other info. In addition to that I also have radar that can be pulled up on the chart plotter as a separate screen or overlaid on the navigation chart just in case fog or rain should suddenly crop up. – I Love Technology.
Looks wonderful. Wish I was sailing with you. My middle name is Gilligan, so it obviously rates me higher than Marie as first mate.
Hope all goes well and you both enjoy the trip.
So Gilligan, just let me know if and when you and Terry might want to cruise with me and we’ll see what we can do.
The routes look very interesting! Nice map. The ICW passing along the interior waters of the keys looks like an idyllic run! No doubt you and M will have many lively adventures to relate – can’t wait to hear the stories!
The maps are screen shot from my chart plotter from an expanded view so you don’t see the detail but you get an over all picture of the route. if you want to see what I see while I’m cruising, let me know and i’ll post a typical screen shot from the chart plotter.
Would love to see a screen shot from the plotter when you have a chance to post one!
Awesome Bruce , glad to see someone enjoying life , JR and I are following your posts , Good Luck.
Trip is looking good. I also loved how Fondren recognized Barbara on their signage. A nice tribute.
You and Marie look like old salts out there. The voyage looks like fun, and I cannot wait for Teri and me to cruise with Captain Bruce. Any chance of pirating another vessel on our cruise Bruce ?
